So much happened before Dorothy dropped in… Wicked tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two girls who first meet as sorcery students at Shiz University: the blonde and very popular Glinda and a misunderstood girl with emerald skin named Elphaba.
Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and their lives take very different paths. Glinda’s unflinching desire for popularity sees her seduced by power while Elphaba’s determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences for her future. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. With a thrilling score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” Wicked has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.”
From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, Wicked—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.

Wicked Cast Notifications
The audition panel would like to thank and praise all the auditionees for the cast of Wicked. We were thrilled, excited and challenged over the 4 days of auditions to see such a wealth of talent and such strong preparation, which made the task extremely difficult.
Unfortunately, our cast is restricted by many factors, therefore, we know many will be disappointed. We urge all those people to try again in future shows, as your talent was valuable and often amazing.
As described on the information sheet, no individual audition appraisals are available, however we will release generic feedback from the team to allow performers to learn from the Wicked experience. We will post that in the next few days.
All successful cast members are required to be at Holy Spirit High School, Cawley street entrance Yulunga Hall on Tuesday 2nd May for a 7:00pm start.
We thank you in advance for your punctuality.
